KEMAC Kiln – 9.5 m
• Intended use: 4th Fire (“quarto fuoco”), i.e. supplementary firings for fine decorations or lustres.
• Dimensions: Length of 9,500 mm (9.5 meters) with a useful opening of 1,000 mm.
• Transport system: Roller kiln with roller diameter of 25 mm and pitch (spacing) of 50 mm.
Technical Features
Operating temperature: Variable between 1,000°C and 1,100°C (ideal for tiles, majolica, lava stone, and third fire).
• Power supply: Usually Methane or LPG (via industrial burners), but electric versions also exist (380V three-phase).
• Electronics: Control of feed speed and thermal cycles through electronic regulation (often assisted by PLC or digital computer).
• Structure: Ventilated metal framework with insulation in ceramic fiber or lightweight refractory bricks to minimize consumption.
